SUMMER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Ages 8–14
The Summer Development Program is the foundation of Running Brave.
It is designed to introduce young athletes to distance running in a structured, supportive, and age-appropriate environment.
The focus is on growth, fundamentals, and enjoyment—building confidence while establishing healthy habits that support long-term development.
Program highlights include:
Three structured practices per week
Age-appropriate training groups
Emphasis on aerobic development, mechanics, and movement quality
Integrated strength, mobility, and injury-prevention work
A welcoming environment for beginners, multi-sport athletes, and experienced runners
This program is ideal for youth looking to build consistency, improve fitness, and develop a positive relationship with training.

COMPETITIVE TEAM
Invite-Based
The Competitive Team is designed for athletes who are ready for a higher level of commitment, structure, and accountability.
Selection is based on effort, consistency, attitude, and readiness—not just performance.
Athletes are invited into this group when they demonstrate the ability to handle increased training demands while contributing positively to the team environment.
The Competitive Team includes:
Late-summer launch aligned with the school cross-country season
Post-season training opportunities
Participation in the USATF Junior Olympic pathway:
Association Championships
Region 13 Championships
National Championships
Competitive athletes train with higher expectations, a strong team identity, and access to race opportunities beyond the local level.
PRIVATE COACHING & CUSTOM TRAINING
Youth & Adults
Private coaching is available for individuals seeking a more personalized training experience.
These options are designed to support athletes with specific goals, schedules, or developmental needs and are available to both youth and adults.
Private coaching options include:
One-on-one coaching
Customized training plans
Race preparation and season planning
Support for cross-country, track, road racing, or general fitness
Private coaching allows for individualized attention while maintaining alignment with Running Brave’s long-term development philosophy.
